Short Hills Drug Rehab Centers Combat a Growing Addiction Crisis

Just as there is no single cause of the opioid crisis, there is no single solution. The New Jersey Attorney General’s Office has adopted an all-of-the-above strategy that includes prevention, treatment, and enforcement efforts to address the problem. In 2018, the Attorney General launched a new office—known as the New Jersey Coordinator for Addiction Responses and Enforcement Strategies, or “NJ CARES”—to use all available powers and authorities to fight the crisis. NJ CARES is working to save lives and heal communities ravaged by opioids.

Both residential and non-residential treatment facilities for substance abuse treatment are located throughout the state. The Department of Human Services licenses these facilities. Services are available for adults and adolescents, and treatment options include withdrawal management, intensive outpatient, outpatient, short-term residential, long-term residential, partial care, halfway house, and medication-assisted treatment.

Short Hills drug rehab centers are a key entry point for someone seeking addiction treatment. Many health centers (82 percent now provide behavioral health services) initially screen people to see if they need alcohol or drug detox, counseling, and therapy. This is just one of the grounds why finding the right rehab treatment center is important if you or someone you know is struggling with addiction. Substance use disorders can be challenging to overcome on your own, and professional help can make all the difference.

What to look for in a Short Hills Rehab Center

Addiction to alcohol and other drugs is a significant issue in the modern world. Drug addiction puts a person’s physical and emotional well-being at risk, which can be very destructive to their health and wellbeing. Those with substance abuse disorders have access to a wide variety of drug addiction treatment options. Inpatient Short Hills drug rehab is one of the most popular forms of treatment since it focuses on giving patients regular, round-the-clock care that will help them maintain sobriety and lead to long-term recovery.

When you decide to take the steps toward choosing inpatient Short Hills rehab, you’ve already made a wise decision. Finding a program that is appropriate for you is the next step. Here are some qualities an inpatient drug and alcohol rehab program should have.

The Kind of Treatment Provided

For people in recovery, inpatient Short Hills drug rehab offers a variety of treatments. Whether you feel at home and content in your recovery or uncomfortable and out of place depends on the type of treatment provided in a residential treatment program. You must spend time in a setting where you are confident that the kind of care you receive will suit your particular requirements.

Duration of the Treatment Plan

For a patient to fully recover with a lower risk of relapse, the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) advises at least 90 days of therapy. There are a variety of program lengths available, but to effectively break the addiction habit, you should select a program that is at least three weeks long and preferably longer.

Duration of Time Spent in Counseling

Therapy is the cornerstone of care in inpatient drug and alcohol treatment. Thus, it’s crucial to pick an inpatient treatment program that allows enough time for therapy and counseling. In inpatient treatment, many programs mandate that patients spend 50 hours weekly in therapy, counseling, and support groups. Finding a drug treatment that allows you to spend enough time in therapy will help you understand how to maintain sobriety, what to do if you relapse, how to modify your behaviors for the better, and what exactly triggered your addiction. Any less could put you at risk for relapse.

Costs & Methods of Payment

It’s vital to read between the lines when figuring out the overall cost of treatment and the payment options that should be employed to get treatment because every inpatient Short Hills drug rehab is unique. Some programs are more expensive than others, and some include the price of any necessary medical care in the overall cost of care. You should pick an inpatient rehab that offers you the services you require at a price you can afford.

The payment method should also be taken into account. Although not all inpatient drug recovery facilities do, many accept insurance or other payment types. Some will demand that you pay in full upfront for your treatment, while others will offer you a payment plan that spreads the expense out over a few months or longer.

You might be asking what distinguishes residential treatment from inpatient treatment. Residential and inpatient treatment programs can be used interchangeably. In a Short Hills drug rehab centrs, inpatient drug and alcohol treatment programs frequently last 30, 60, and 90 days. However, some people fighting addiction may remain in a program for anything between six months and a year.

Inpatient addiction centers are highly structured, allowing the patient to focus on activities and therapies rather than cravings to use drugs or alcohol. Inpatient rehab treatment is considered the highest level of care for addiction treatment. If you or a loved one have been suffering from addiction or severe substance use, it may be your most suitable option to consider inpatient rehab treatment. At the same time, the patient can focus exclusively on the healing process.

Most inpatient drug rehab offers medical detoxification as part of their treatment plans and services on the premises; however, some may also coordinate medical detoxification at nearby hospitals or other healthcare facilities before or concurrently with behavioral rehab. The price of inpatient Short Hills rehab will vary depending on several variables, including the duration of time, the location, the availability of insurance, and the precise nature of the patient’s treatment needs.

3. Dual Diagnosis Treatment Short Hills, NJ Programs

Most individuals who have been given a diagnosis of a substance use disorder (SUD) also have a co-occurring mental or behavioral issue. Dual diagnoses are what this is. Dual diagnosis sufferers need a comprehensive treatment program that addresses both conditions as interrelated problems. By seeking treatment for addiction and co-occurring behavioral and mental health conditions, you can work on successfully attaining the fulfilling and healthy life you deserve.

More than 1.1 million adults in New Jersey struggle with mental health illnesses, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). About 310,000 people with these illnesses did not seek professional therapy, and 28.5% did not obtain mental health care because they could not afford it. This data suggests that addiction therapy and mental health need to be prioritized in treatment programs. If you struggle with a substance use disorder and a co-occurring mental health condition like depression, BPD, or anxiety, a dual diagnosis Short Hills drug rehab may be the answer for you.

Short Hills AA Meetings

Short Hills AA Meetings or Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings

Alcoholics Anonymous, also known as AA, is a collective of international mutual aid fellowships made up of people dedicated to helping one another achieve a life of freedom from alcohol use disorder. The organization was founded in 1935 and popularized the first twelve-step program for overcoming alcohol addiction. These twelve steps are a group of principles aimed at dispelling the obsession to drink alcohol to help individuals live happier and fuller lives.

What to expect in a Short Hills AA meeting? During Short Hills AA meetings, AA members simply begin talking. Each member introduces themselves: “Hello, my name is (first name), and I’m an alcoholic.” Everyone responds with, “Hello (first name)!” After talking about their “story,” everyone in the room thanks them. Then the next member can speak up. Some studies revealed that individuals involved in mutual support groups such as AA were more likely to stay sober than those who tried to quit alone. A new study published in the Cochrane Library found that twelve-step groups such as AA and NA can lead to higher rates of continuous sobriety over months and years.

Short Hills AA meetings are self-supporting, non-professional, apolitical, and multiracial, and they are wide open to anyone regardless of gender, age, education level, or religious belief. When assessing which drug addiction rehab program to attend, it is essential to look for specific components that have been proven most effective for addiction treatment. In other words, evidence-based and trustworthy addiction treatment programs use recovery approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and motivational programs that promote long-term sobriety. When looking for a drug rehab program, you should evaluate whether they are certified and licensed by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF). The reason accreditation is so important is because the organizations that supply certification to addiction treatment programs also review and inspect the facility to ensure the quality of care.
