Ryan Zofay is a Licensed Interventionist

Through Ryan’s life of recovery, he’s learned how to be a licensed interventionist, and he still finds time to give back and help inspire whenever there is a need for intervention.

    Learning to Overcome Obstacles

Ryan’s home life as a boy was chaotic and abusive. At age of 5, he lost his only sister. His parents divorced shortly thereafter. As a young child, he watched his mother’s overwhelming grief turn to drug addiction with horrific consequences. Followed by devastating domestic abuse by his mother’s new suitors. Lacking the support and love that any minor craves, he was left on his own to grieve. His home life was unsafe, without love. He was unable to protect his mother or himself from the domestic abuse she suffered. Because of these negative influences, he resorted to deadening his emotional pain and suffering by experimenting with illicit drugs to help him cope.

While residing in an unsafe and known high crime area, Ryan’s drug use led him to drop out of school in the 7th grade. He fell into the wrong crowd. By the time he was 16 he had been in and out of juvenile detention for two years and faced twenty-one felony charges.

As a result of his drug addiction, Ryan was imprisoned and was released and on October 6th, 2001. But as a consequence of his addiction, he was in a severe auto accident. And was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Incredibly, perhaps, nothing short of a miracle, he awoke from three days of coma to begin a second chance at life. October 9th, 2001 marks the day Ryan turned over a new page to a new life.
